This thesis presents an algorithm of moving object detection and tracking for robot concurrently localization, mapping and moving object tracking in dynamic environment. Kinect can capture RGB color image and image depth (D) to provide the information of three-dimensional coordinates for initializing image features. Research topics in this study include: calibration of Kinect RGB and D sensors; application of Kinect sensors in an unknown environment to implement the tasks of simultaneous localization and mapping; development of on-line object model for moving objects detection, identification, and tracking.
