    Abstract: 瑪麗‧恩迪亞耶是法國當代備受矚目的作家,其創作靈感豐沛,除了小說之外,尚有戲劇、電影劇本等的創作。由於台灣對於法國戲劇作品的介紹相對缺乏,因此選定作者的戲劇文本從事翻譯,並使用紐馬克的「溝通翻譯」以及「語義翻譯」理論,作為翻譯困難時的參考依據。

    論文分成緒論與內文三個章節與結論,緒論部分包含研究動機、研究方法與論文架構。第一章是作者與文本的介紹,第二章是戲劇文本《爸爸必須吃飯》的原文與中文翻譯,第三章是翻譯理論與實例分析。

    本篇論文先從作者瑪麗‧恩迪亞耶開始介紹,希望這位在法國知名度很高的小說家,在台灣也有開始被認識。資料的部分仰賴法國的報紙、新聞、訪談等,藉以深入了解其寫作風格與在當代的重要性。翻譯的部分則由全文當中挑選五個段落翻成中文,然後依據翻譯理論選擇適合的翻譯手法。紐馬克認為,面對不同類型的文本,理當使用不同的翻譯手法,才能將訊息傳遞得恰如其分。他將翻譯方法分為兩大派別,分別是著重原文的「語義翻譯」與著重譯文的「語義翻譯」。此篇論文研究對象為一戲劇文本,屬於表達型文本的範疇,但戲劇的表達皆由人物的對話組成,面對的問題也更多面向,因此將視問題的情況,分別判斷使用偏重原文的語義翻譯抑或偏重譯文的溝通翻譯。
    Marie Ndiaye is a well-known contemporary French writer. She has abundant work style including novel, drama and screen writing. She started her writing career since 12 years old, and published her first novel at 17. Unfortunately, this talented writer didn''t get a lot of attention in Taiwan, because Taiwanese people still know more about those famous writer in 19th and 20th century.

    As a student of Department of French Language, I hope to introduce more good work to people who are interested in literature.

    While doing the translation, I am led by the theory of communicative translation and semantic translation from Peter Newmark. According to its theory, I tried to analyse the article and choose the suitable theory for every sentences.
