本篇論文先從作者瑪麗‧恩迪亞耶開始介紹,希望這位在法國知名度很高的小說家,在台灣也有開始被認識。資料的部分仰賴法國的報紙、新聞、訪談等,藉以深入了解其寫作風格與在當代的重要性。翻譯的部分則由全文當中挑選五個段落翻成中文,然後依據翻譯理論選擇適合的翻譯手法。紐馬克認為,面對不同類型的文本,理當使用不同的翻譯手法,才能將訊息傳遞得恰如其分。他將翻譯方法分為兩大派別,分別是著重原文的「語義翻譯」與著重譯文的「語義翻譯」。此篇論文研究對象為一戲劇文本,屬於表達型文本的範疇,但戲劇的表達皆由人物的對話組成,面對的問題也更多面向,因此將視問題的情況,分別判斷使用偏重原文的語義翻譯抑或偏重譯文的溝通翻譯。 Marie Ndiaye is a well-known contemporary French writer. She has abundant work style including novel, drama and screen writing. She started her writing career since 12 years old, and published her first novel at 17. Unfortunately, this talented writer didn''t get a lot of attention in Taiwan, because Taiwanese people still know more about those famous writer in 19th and 20th century.
As a student of Department of French Language, I hope to introduce more good work to people who are interested in literature.
While doing the translation, I am led by the theory of communicative translation and semantic translation from Peter Newmark. According to its theory, I tried to analyse the article and choose the suitable theory for every sentences.
