What has been the path taken by the Member States of ASEAN against regionalization process in the subregion? What are the constitutive factors of an identity in the subregion? Was there a process of construction of collective identity? Finally, Is it enough sense of collective identity towards ASEAN Community or even towards a Regional Community?

In this research we have tried to answer the above questions through the development of research on “Identity strategies in the process of regionalization of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)”. Transversely we will try to see if in this part of the world globalization has resulted not only in unidirectional political and economic, and cultural entropy (an acceleration of cultural production changes and leaving the cultural reproduction), but also whether or not the phenomenon of globalization has led to a resurgence of features and an emphasis on the difference, as negentropic mechanisms that tend to recompose new cultural territoriality
