    Title: The empirical research of the effects of mindfulness-based self-caring training for help-workers of community counseling center

    Abstract: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of mindfulness-based self-caring training on the help-workers of a community counseling center. An quasi-experimental research design was applied in this study. “The Self-Caring Experience Questionnaire” was administrated to 58 participants before and after the mindfulnessbased self-caring training. The questionnaire includes two separated parts concerning participants` life experience as well as physical and mental health. Data obtained in this study were analyzed by pair t-test. The results showed there were significant differences in fatigue symptoms (t=4.04, p<.01) and cognitive decline (t=2.91, p<.01). There were no significant differences in life experience (t=1.35, p>.05), total physical and mental health (t=1.37, p>.05), psychological symptoms (t=.28, p>.05), pain symptoms (t=.62, p>.05), and physical illness(t=1.28, p>.05). Namely, mindfulness-based self-caring training can effectively reduce the fatigue symptoms and the cognitive decline of help-workers of community counseling center.
