      <description>title: Team formation for collaborative learning with social network consideration based on edX's online discussion board abstract: Collaborative Learning (CL) along with the changing of the teaching environment, the way how students interact has also changed. The rise of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) lets the teaching environment turn into online teaching. Deriving from MOOCs, Small Private Online Course (SPOC) incorporates the concept of Blended Learning (BL), which combines the advantage of MOOCs and face-to-face teaching. In this context, implies an enormous amount of consideration of group division factors and information volume when teachers organize groups. In the face of an unprecedented workload size, organizing groups manually is extremely time consuming and difficult for teachers. In this paper, we make use of the advantages of the conditions of SPOC, retrieving the social network of students on the online discussion board, then the heterogeneous division of groups based on academic results is the supplementary to do grouping. In addition, this paper makes use of edX, a representative platform of MOOCs, and develops the group division modules based on the format of the online discussion boards of the platform. Comparing with the way of grouping by students themselves in this context, the method which brought out by this paper do a better job in learning performance in spite of the satisfactions is worse.

      <description>title: Simulation of Theme Park Queuing System by using ARENA abstract: Queuing in theme parks is a significant factor decreasing customer satisfaction. Visitors spend much time standing and waiting for the rides. If the visitors can register in a virtual queue for the rides while engaging some other activities, the wasted time will be reduced and the customer satisfaction level increases. This study is first to design a queuing system for theme parks that visitors can register for favorite rides into virtual queues. A simulation tool Arena is used for assessing the improvement and satisfaction level. Further implementation of applying near field communication (NFC) technology and wireless communication will be carried out in the future study.

These two kinds of game categories can become as popular as nowadays, because these are the ways that users can easily have access to and to play the games with. Based on the above and the fact that social networking service has become a part of our daily life, we decided to merge all social network features into our web game to make our games more compatible. This research is focused on virtual pet game with ability of allowing interaction between friends' pets and sharing messages among friends and the system are accessible through the web browser. In the future, we will combine social network system and the virtual pet game and also make a smart phone app version out of the combination, so that the users can take care of their own virtual pets anytime and anywhere as long as they have access to the Internet.

      <description>title: Mobile Augmented Reality of Tourism-Yilan Hot Spring abstract: This research focuses on a concept of location-based service (LBS) and further extend to design a set of smart phone application (APP) with mobile augmented reality about Yilan hot spring. The APP is divided into two parts: map module and augmented reality (AR) module. The map module enables people to search the hot springs' information and their corresponding positions by combining the application with the use of Google Map. The AR module uses the point of interest (POI) with two-dimensional virtual image in the real scene that allows people find the location. In addition, we provide the Quick Response code (QR code) for each of the POI, which assists the users to link to the original website of Yilan hot spring by scanning the QR code. The APP also provides the function of camera that allows its users to capture the photos and record the videos in this APP. By using this Mobile AR APP, people can search the information about Yilan hot spring anywhere and anytime.

      <description>title: Robust image watermarking based on compressed sensing techniques abstract: Compressed sensing is a newly developed topic in the field of data compression. Most of relating researches focus on compression performances or theoretical studies, and there are very few papers aiming at the integration of watermarking into compressed sensing systems. In this paper, we propose an innovative scheme that considers the copyright protection of data with compressed sensing. By carefully utilizing the relationships between compressively sensed coefficients, very few amounts of transmitted coefficients are capable of reconstructing the image to some extent. Moreover, secret information embedded beforehand can be recovered with acceptable rate in correctly extracted bits even experiencing through the lossy channels for delivery of marked image. Simulation results with our algorithm have demonstrated the effectiveness for integrating watermarking into compressive sampling systems.

      <description>title: Data Mining Based Intelligent System for Voting Behavior Analysis abstract: In this study, we report a voting behavior analysis intelligent system based on data mining technology. From previous literature, we have witnessed increasing number of studies applied information technology to facilitate voting behavior analysis. In this study, we built a likely voter identification model through the use of data mining technology, the classification algorithm used here constructs decision tree model to identify voters and non voters. This model is evaluated by its accuracy and number of attributes used to correctly identify likely voter. Our goal is to try to use just a small number of survey questions while maintaining the accuracy rates of other similar models. This model was built and tested on Taiwan’s Election and Democratization Study (TEDS) data sets. According to the experimental results, the proposed model can improve likely voter identification rate and this finding is consistent with previous studies based on American National Election Studies.

      <description>title: Multi-Level Reversible Data Hiding with Prediction-Based Approach abstract: In this paper, we propose a new algorithm in reversible data hiding with prediction-based scheme.Reversible data hiding can be implemented with two types, one is by modifYing the histogram of images, named the histogram-based scheme, and the other is by changing the difference value between neighboring pixels, called the difference-expansion-based (DE-based) method. Considering the ease of implementation, we employ the histogram-based scheme with the concepts from the DE-based methods in our algorithm. For hiding the secret information, the differences between original and predicted images are produced firstly, and they are intentionally altered to make reversible data hiding possible. By utilizing the advantages from the two types of methods, by change of histograms of difference values, global and local characteristics of original images can be utilized for hiding more capacity with acceptable quality of output image. With our method, it performs better in embedding capacity, image quality, and side information than conventional algorithm in literature. It also has the potential for the integration to relating algorithms for practical applications.
